What is Norn Labs?

Norn Labs is an Estonian company building focused solutions for work that needs clear coordination, human judgement and evidence.

Where is Norn based?

Tallinn, Estonia. Our operating entity is Norn Labs OÜ.

Why Estonia?

Norn Labs is based in Tallinn. Estonia gives the team a European base and access to a technology and research community, including the ESA BIC programme.

Where are your website and products hosted?

Our corporate website and web applications are hosted by Hostinger in Lithuania. Cadence stores application and authentication records in Google Cloud Finland, with database backups also in Finland. Cadence handles email/password sign-in on its web servers in Lithuania. Website enquiries use Google Forms and Sheets separately, and their processing locations have not been verified as EU-only. See Privacy & Security for the current scope and product-specific arrangements.

How should we evaluate a Norn Labs product?

Start with your workflow, the evidence you need and the people responsible for decisions. Discuss the product’s current scope, access, data handling and limitations with Norn Labs. Readiness and deployment arrangements differ by product.

Which domains does Norn Labs cover?

Space: Cadence and Photrak.

Do you only serve EU institutions?

No. Intended audiences and geographical availability vary by product. Review the relevant page and discuss country coverage, organisational requirements and operational readiness with Norn Labs.

Cadence

Private preview

What is Cadence?

Cadence by Norn Labs connects mission context, collision-avoidance analysis, parameter baselines, requirements and technical reports. It helps engineering teams trace a result to its assumptions and carry the evidence into review.

Who is Cadence for?

Satellite operators, mission designers and engineering teams managing analysis assumptions, requirements and technical reviews. Cadence supports the people making mission decisions; it does not command a spacecraft or replace engineering judgement.

What stage is Cadence at?

Cadence is in private preview. Request a demo through the Contact page to discuss your missions, analysis process and evidence requirements. Deployment scope is agreed with Norn Labs, and no general-availability date is promised.

Is Cadence backed by ESA?

Norn’s published company material records a shortlisted bid for an ESA EXPRO+ procurement concerning Cadence. A procurement shortlist is not a funding award, product certification or confirmation of operational performance.

Photrak

In development

What is Photrak?

Photrak is a pulsed laser ranging instrument in development for tracking satellites and debris in low Earth orbit. The programme combines a hosted ranging payload with planned ground processing to prepare observations for tracking and orbit determination.

What stage is Photrak at?

Photrak is a hardware programme in development. Centimetre-class range precision is an engineering objective that must be demonstrated and validated. Flight qualification, an operational tracking service and commercial instrument access are not announced as complete; no public launch date is promised.

How can we collaborate on Photrak?

Contact Norn Labs to discuss host platforms, photonics, measurement validation, ground processing or future use of orbital observations. Technical requirements, interfaces and programme scope are agreed directly with prospective mission, research and infrastructure partners.

Verdandi

In development

What is Verdandi?

Verdandi is a Norn Labs platform in development, intended to integrate Cadence and Photrak. The ambition is to connect mission analysis with future laser-ranging capabilities in a shared environment.

How would Verdandi bring Cadence and Photrak together?

Cadence brings mission context, analysis and technical evidence. Photrak is developing laser-ranging capabilities for orbital observations. Verdandi is intended to connect these complementary capabilities within one platform. This integration is a development objective.

What stage is Verdandi at?

Verdandi is in development. An integrated service and public launch date have not been announced. Cadence remains in private preview, and Photrak remains a hardware programme in development; each has its own scope and development pathway.

How can we collaborate on Verdandi?

Contact Norn Labs through the Contact page and mention Verdandi in your message. We welcome conversations about mission-analysis needs, orbital observations and the potential connection between Cadence and Photrak. Project scope and collaboration opportunities are discussed directly.
